Quick and Easy PRE-PACKAGED Healthy Snacks

prepackagedsnacks(UPDATE!!! The mozzarella cheese sticks belong with the BLUE container, not the red. Thank you Lindsey for pointing that out!)

We’re in an era where we’re constantly on-the-go.  We’re continually running from one thing to the next or working crazy long hours at our job.  It’s TOUGH to stay on top of eating clean and consuming healthy snacks throughout the day, because we just don’t want to, or simply can’t take the extra time to, plan and prepare ahead.

In honor of ALL the crazy busies out there, I’ve put together a list of grab and go items that come in single servings that you can grab from your local grocery store, Trader Joes, or a wholesale store like Costco.

PS.  If you’re a fan of the 21 Day Fix, in order to simplify it for you, I’m also including the container color to head each category.

BLUE Container:

100 Calorie Almond packs
Hummus (Sabra or Tribe) singles (available at most Costco stores)
100 Calorie Pack Pistachios
Wholly Guacamole (available at most Costco stores)
2% Mozzarella Cheese Sticks  (available at most Costco stores)

GREEN Container:
Individually wrapped veggies, such as carrots, cucumbers, celery, red peppers, cherry tomatoes (great with the guacamole or hummus containers)

YELLOW Container:
Crunchmaster Multigrain Crackers with sea salt (0.5oz packet)
Mary’s Gone Crackers (1.25 oz bags)
Seapoint Farms Dry-roasted Endamame (Individual Packets)

RED container:
Starkist (or brand of choice) Tuna packets (not tuna salad)
Hard Boiled Eggs
4% Cottage Cheese singles
Yo-Baby Plain Yogurt (full fat)
Fage TOTAL – full fat greek yogurt

PURPLE Container:
Apple
Banana
Grapes
Strawberries
Cherries
Blueberries
Clementines

Individually packaged apple slices
Fuji dried fruit crisps (apple, mango, peaches, pineapples, strawberries)
GoGo Squeeze Applesauce (available at most Costco stores)
Motts Applesauce Singles (available at most Costco stores)

A couple OTHER more nutritionally complicated snacks:
Kind Bar
Pirate’s Booty

{I will continue to add new snacks onto this article as I find them, so keep in touch!}

I put them in a “complicated” category, because it IS an amazing grab and go snack… it’s clean and has good ingredients… however not so much for following a strict 21 Day Fix plan. For someone doing an Insanity or P90X meal plan, it would more easily fit.

This looks great I just started the 21 day fix a few days ago, I’m trying to eat more fruits and veggies but it nice to have a quick prepackaged option for when you’re in a hurry.

Amen, girl! As a mom of five, with one on the way, sometimes it’s either prepackaged or we end up making some not so good choices. Would love to know what else you’d love to hear more about as we’re redesigning the site and focusing on keeping things simple :) Are you currently in a challenge group? Feel free to reach out on Facebook too if you have any questions :) facebook.com/MichelleHillaert

Hi Sara, thanks for asking! I put them in a category that is called “A couple OTHER more nutritionally complicated snacks” because I don’t think there really is a container for them. HOWEVER… with so many of us crazy busy… it is a healthier option then say a Quaker oats granola bar, etc. It’s clean eating, but not really 21 Day Fix. You know what I mean? Feel free to reach out on Facebook too if you have any other questions :) facebook.com/MichelleHillaert

I absolutely love this! There are so few resources on blogs for prepackaged convenience foods. But not every mom has the time to make everything from scratch. This is a huge asset. Great work!

Thanks, lady! I need to get my tush in gear and do some more. As a mom of five… about to have #6, if it’s not quick and easy and convenient… I don’t do it very often. :) Glad you liked it!
